Inspection planning during renovation
Coordinate the evidence while access is available, not after the finishes are complete.
Map the project sequence
Have the designer and contractor identify the relevant assessment and inspection milestones in the actual project schedule. Mark which work needs to remain accessible and who has authority to release each stage. This is a coordination plan, not permission to undertake electrical work.
Keep changes visible
When the layout, equipment or circuit scope changes, ask how the drawings, permit and inspection plan need to respond. Record revisions instead of assuming an earlier review covers later additions. Include the person responsible for arranging access and responding to findings.
Handover the final arrangement
Request a closeout record describing the installed scope, relevant inspection outcomes, equipment information and open items. Keep any earlier deficiencies with their responses. The end of construction is not, by itself, proof that every review requirement was completed.
